Demon's Doom

From the final issue of Farrell Publication's Strange Fantasy series, the Oct - Nov '54 issue of Strange Fantasy #14 to be exact. This is a super weird issue of stories, (check the archive for the ultra brutal "Meet Me in the Tomb"), but there's also a goofy ghost western, and a truly bizarre monster from another world tale-- all coming up later this week! Stay tombed...

I went ahead and added a few trope labels to this one...

What's worse is that Mona's vengeful ghost is gonna come all the way back for nothing, now.

The story structure could have remained exactly the same and just inserted Mona's ghost in a couple panels, though I appreciate the more karmic punishment in this one.

BTW, isn't the governor really to blame? The guy obviously knew he was going to pardon her for a long time; there was no plot thread about any new evidence. -- but he waited until the last minute -- to be a drama queen, I assume. Thanks a lot, governor!

I swear I've seen this one before. Maybe an Eerie reprint?

Way to hustle, Governer!
Missed the '50's comic cops scratching their heads and saying "Gee, just can't figure this!" in the last panel, but a good one, nonetheless.I also like the skull on George's radio.
Call this one 'The Sheepshank Redemption'.

We trimmed a lot of the fat off THOIA's archive... no stories were removed, just early days stuff when I'd post birthday salutes and youtube vids etc., you won't miss a thing, but thanks for noticing ;)

Got a ghost vs gangsters coming up next!
